Our poster won first place at VIZBI 2012. Blogged from Seán O'Donoghue... uPy: a ubiquitous Python API with biological modeling applications enables ePMV & autoFill by Ludovic Autin, Graham Johnson, Johan Hake, Arthur Olson, Michel Sanner, can be viewed on the VIZBI site. uPy provides a Python interface that lets users drive several computer graphics programs (Blender, Maya, Cinema4D, DejaVu) as well as two Graphical User Interface toolkits (Tkinter and Qt)... ePMV is an example of a relatively mature uPy plugin. For this honor, we received an NVIDIA Quadro 6000 professional video card, one of the world’s fastest GPUs that was donated to the contest by NVIDIA. We will use the card to further development of uPy and other projects for public consumption and thank all who voted at the conference.
